Vegetarian Quotes

Quote of the day!Hi everyone, thank you for visiting my site! It means so much.

So, now you have made the decision to become vegetarian. The road will be hard, many will laugh at you or scoff “what you? Vegetarian?” and so on.

To keep you motivated and to remind you of why you became vegetarian in the first place, I have put together some quotes – all focused on vegetarianism.

Let me know which ones you relate to the most, if you have a quote that you think should be included here – just let me know – I might even add it!

Paul McCartney:

If slaughterhouses had glass walls, everyone would be a vegetarian“.

Johnny Depp:

“If you don’t like seeing pictures of violence towards animals being posted, you need to help stop the violence, not the pictures”.

Leonardo da Vinci:

The time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals as they now look on the murder of men.”

Mahatma Gandhi:

To my mind, the life of a lamb is no less precious than that of a human being. I should be unwilling to take the life of a lamb for the sake of the human body.

Jonathan Safran Foer:Sunflower

I can’t count the times that upon telling someone I am vegetarian, he or she responded by pointing out an inconsistency in my lifestyle or trying to find a flaw in an argument I never made. I have often felt that my vegetarianism matters more to such people than it does to me“.

Pamela Anderson:

Chickens, pigs and other animals are interesting individuals with personalities and intelligence. What people need to understand is that if they’re eating animals, they’re promoting cruelty to animals.”

Animals are nicer than humans and they’re conscious beings. If you stick your grandmother in an oven, she will probably be tasty. But is that any reason to eat your grandmother?

Stella McCartney:

The really great thing about my shop is that there’s not one dead animal in it. … Manolo’s got a load of fabric shoes as well! We use plastic, fabric, rubber- anything but leather. I almost feel like I’ve been put here to show everyone that it’s unnecessary.

Mainly I’m a vegan because I like animals, and I don’t want to be involved in their suffering. Also, it’s better for my health and for the environment.

Dalai Lama:

“People think of animals as if they were vegetables, and that is not right. We have to change the way people think about animals. I encourage the Tibetan people and all people to move toward a vegetarian diet that doesn’t cause suffering”.

Gautama Buddha:

“To avoid causing terror to living beings, let the disciple refrain from eating meat”.

Albert Einstein:

“Nothing Will Benefit Human Health and Increase the Chances for Survival of Life on Earth As Much as the Evolution to a Vegetarian Diet.”

Dean Ornish:

“I don’t understand why asking people to eat a well-balanced vegetarian diet is considered drastic, while it is medically conservative to cut people open and put them on cholesterol lowering drugs for the rest of their lives.”

I have you have found these quotes to be both informative and motivational.
